MEET COUNCILWOMAN TAMMY WARD

Tammy Ward, a hard-working, long-time advocate for Lincoln, was elected to City Council on May 7, 2019.

She has spent the majority of her successful three-decade career making people’s lives better through public service. Tammy is a determined negotiator and champion for seniors, veterans, and families. Her three decades of experience has focused on working for and with public officials, constituents, neighborhoods, and communities on the local, state and federal government level.

Councilwoman Ward represents the Lincoln City Council in Northwest District and is honored to serve her District 4 neighbors.

TOP PRIORITIES

Economic Growth

Supports policies to continue strong economic growth for all areas of Lincoln, including downtown, west and south Haymarket, south of downtown, Innovation Campus, neighborhoods and outlying edges of our great City.

Workforce Development

Believes workforce development and retention — attracting and keeping young professionals and other workers — must be properly addressed.

Public Safety and Transportation

Supports efforts to enhance the quality of life, safety, and security of our community.

Affordable Housing

Will strive to make sure Lincolnites have safe and attractive neighborhoods in which to live and work with the City Council and Mayor to continue to make improvements in housing affordability and accessibility.

Working Together

Councilwoman Ward pledges to listen, learn, and work with the other members of the Council and the Mayor to set and maintain a tone of cooperation on behalf of all Lincolnites.
